Central European Pragmatist Forum

Sixth International Conference
"Democracy: A Pragmatist approach"

The 6th Central European Pragmatist Forum,
University of Cadiz, Spain, May 24 - 30, 2010

CONFERECE FEE:

500 € (Euros) for Americans, West-Europeans, South-African
250 € (Euros) for Central-East-Europeans

Extra fees for spouses and/or accompanying persons may be negotiated.

Included in these fees are:

  • Accommodation during the conference from May 23 (earlier arrival is possible with extra cost) till May 29 (departure)
  • All meals and refreshments
  • Conference package
  • Excursion to Seville

PAPERS

The conference will allow all participants to present their papers within the schedule of 45 minutes including the discussion. The conference will be fairly small, roughly 17 Americans and 17 Europeans, which allows sufficient time for all sessions to be plenary and for all participants to get to know one another. The language of the conference is English.

HOW TO REACH THE VENUE:

HOW TO GET TO THE HOTEL FROM THE JEREZ AIRPORT

Jerez Airport is the airport for Cádiz area. Downtown Cadiz is at 40 km from Jerez Airport.

  • Bus: Take line M050 and M051 Aeropuerto-Cádiz. They leave every hour during the week and every three hours at weekends. Fare: 2,60 €.

  • Taxi: Approximate cost: 57 €. Time: 40 minutes.

HOW TO GET TO THE HOTEL FROM THE SEVILLA AIRPORT

  • Sevilla is 125 Km from Cádiz. You have to get to Sevilla train station (Santa Justa) through Bus (Buses from the airport to the City Center run every 30 minutes between 6:15 and 23:00. The journey takes between 20-30 minutes and a single ticket cost 2,10 €) or taxi (If you catch a Seville Airport Taxi the journey will take you around 15 mins and costs between 15 € and 22 € depending on which time of day you travel. The taxi rank is just outside the terminal building.)

  • Train: Once in the railway station there are many trains to Cádiz. The terminal in Cádiz is a short distance from the hotel. Website for trains: http://www.renfe.es/

HOW TO GET TO THE HOTEL FROM THE MADRID AIRPORT

  • From Barajas Airport there is a metro line which takes into the train station (Atocha), where you can take the train "Altaria": Departures (10.05, 16.30) Return (7.40, 16.15) Price (67.30), it takes (5h.). The terminal in Cádiz is a short distance from the hotel. Website for trains: http://www.renfe.es/

  • There are also connecting flights from Madrid to Jerez airport.
